The government-owned energy company is moving toward renewables in a gradual manner, but fossil fuels are here to stay, says Carl Sheldon, chief executive of Taqa or Abu Dhabi National Energy Company. "We foresee that there will be renewables, but at the moment none is cost competitive, but I think that will change as technology advances and we are keen to be a part of that."
